Senior Payroll Consultant at Payroll Service in Eskilstuna

Do you want to work in a service-oriented and broad role within payroll? We are now looking for a senior payroll consultant to join our fantastic team.

At Payroll Service, we are responsible for all payroll management within the Eskilstuna municipal group. We are a total of 24 people in the unit. Our most important task is to ensure that all employees receive the correct salary on time. We work in modern processes with a strong focus on organizational development and continuous improvements. Right now, we are in the startup phase of implementing our recently procured payroll system, which provides even better conditions for our work moving forward. You will be an important part of our dedicated team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a senior payroll consultant, you will have independent responsibility for the entire payroll process, from start to finish. The work involves controls and quality assurance to ensure that salaries are correct and paid on time. You will work with employment contracts, changes, terminations, and final salaries, playing an important role in interpreting and applying collective agreements and labor law regulations. At the same time, you will stay updated on changes in agreements, legislation, and practices within the payroll area.

In your daily work, you will handle deviations such as absences and payroll corrections, as well as manage reporting and contacts with authorities. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to the development, efficiency, and improvement of payroll processes and routines. You will work closely with managers and employees, providing qualified support and advice on payroll-related issues while participating in networks and collaborations that strengthen both the organization and your competence.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you have a post-secondary education in payroll or equivalent documented experience. You have experience in pension administration, payroll liabilities, and employer declarations, and you feel confident working with the entire payroll process. Labor law and collective agreements are familiar areas, and you have very good system skills within payroll systems, preferably Visma, as well as good knowledge of Excel. You express yourself very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

It is advantageous if you have worked with multiple collective agreements, in a larger or more complex organization, or have been involved in system implementation or process development. As a person, you are meticulous, structured, and solution-oriented. You take responsibility, enjoy collaboration, and have a service-oriented and pedagogical way of communicating, even when the pace is high. We warmly welcome you to join us!
